Thermo King invented mobile refrigeration.
During the hot Minneapolis summer of 1938, Frederick M. Jones created the first Thermo King unit to get freshly killed chickens to market without spoilage. This modest invention worked
so well that it spawned entire industries: frozen food, fast food, container shipping, etc. It transformed the expectations of millions globally, who had never eaten anything grown beyond
a 50-mile radius. Now, they could enjoy the food of the world. Thermo King's ten manufacturing plants in seven countries continue the tradition; designing and building ecologically responsible refrigeration and heating units for trucks, trailers, rail cars and ocean-going containers as well as air-conditioning for buses, trains and urban mass transit.

In 1993, TRS was appointed the exclusive dealer for Thermo King in NSW and the ACT. TRS's award winning service and workshop personnel support the growing market for Thermo King refrigeration units from small off-engine driven units, to the large self-powered diesel truck and trailer units, to coach air conditioning systems.

All Thermo King products are supported by TRS's 17 authorised repair agents throughout NSW. Should a customer ever run into any problems on the road, one of TRS's 20 mobile workshop vans provide after-hour service with interstate connections that can get to you and get you back in 'Top Gear' fast.
